The Bear is distraught, disappointed and disillusioned. This is because Cornell alum Kimberlé Crenshaw is “distraught, disappointed and disillusioned.”
According to Crenshaw
“The mounting challenges we face in protecting Cornell’s legacy and the many failures to transform these rituals and gestures into vigorous defense of free thinking about anti-racism, about social justice and academic freedom, I feel at times are almost too much to bear.”
The Bear knows that we must vigorously defend free thinking about anti-racism, social justice and academic freedom (as defined by Michael Bérubé and Jennifer Ruth in their book, It’s Not Free Speech).
We must vigorously wipe out free thinking about everything else.
Only then, will Cornell regain the glory days of the takeover of Willard Straight.
