As a definitive statement of our core values during this Theme Year for Freedom of Expression, the cherry on the top of the sundae would be to rebrand the Cornell Law School the Ketanji Brown Jackson Law School.
We could do no better!
While the Bear would not have used the word “hamstring” because it is an antisemitic and Islamophobic white supremacist word, in her brilliant interrogation of the lawyers arguing against government censorship in Murthy v Missouri, Justice Jackson captured the spirit of censorship at the core of the progressive Cornell Law School and especially the First Amendment Clinic. In the presence of greatness, Justices Kavanaugh and Coney Barrett were speechless!
In her eloquent way, Justice Jackson expressed her deepest concern about taking away the government’s ability to censor true scientific information characterized as disinformation when the government thinks that the citizens are too dumb to handle true information that goes against the government’s narrative:

Justice Jackson knows that the Declaration of Independence is a racist document that puts the power in the hands of the people rather in its rightful place with the government itself.

The Bear does not want the government to feel threatened by true information from the likes of Jay Bhattacharya, who because of his views has lost the status of a Person of Color, and whose words have the power to wound us.
Before any more people on the left such as Glenn Greenwald and Matt Taibbi become right wing extremists in the fight against censorship, and like Socrates, pollute our students minds, we must plant our flag for censorship and rebrand the Cornell Law School the Ketanji Brown Jackson Law School.
Nothing else could say “Freedom of Expression the Cornell Way” better.
