Pin the Head on the Ostrich

By the whole Babbling Bear Team,

While we at the Bear are waiting to hear a statement from President Martha Pollack regarding her position on free expression, we invented a game that the 18 of us can play at the same time in the office. It is called, “Pin the Head on the Ostrich.” Although, we are aware that ostriches never hide their head in the sand, we know of no such peer-reviewed research on university administrators.

Pin the head on the ostrich can be played at any university. Just go to the senior leadership webpage (see below), print the page out, cut out the heads, put a little sticky glue on the back, stand 15 feet away from a printed picture of the ostrich (you can use the one that comes with this article), and take turns seeing who places the administrator’s head closest to the ostrich’s head.

While we have only played this game a few times, we have not found any relationship between the title of the administrator’s head and the chance that it gets closer to the ostrich’s head.

Please let us know if you play the game, and if you find any relationship!
