Based on the extensive research done by the Cornell CALS School of Integrative Plant Science Diversity and Inclusion Council, who represents science, and who found that:

our institution was founded on and perpetuates various injustices. These include settler colonialism, indigenous dispossession, slavery, racism, classism, sexism, transphobia, homophobia, antisemitism, and ableism;

We, the undersigned diverse and inclusive group of bears, demand that every meeting, every class, every publication, as well as every test, quiz, worksheet, and essay produced by members of the Cornell community begins and ends with the following Cornell Brand Acknowledgement:
