The benefits of creating inclusive workplaces are no longer debated, but how do we get there?

Using the fields of cognitive neuroscience, social psychology, and communication, Dr. Steve Robbins explores the human, hard-wired need to belong – as well as what happens when that need is not met. He demonstrates how our brain has natural and developed tendencies that can help us achieve goals but also lead to unintended consequences, like the exclusion of others who are different from us.

In this discussion hosted by the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Robbins will highlight the keys to battling bias and cultivating a more inclusive organizational culture. He will offer best practices to build the continuous and intentional practice of fundamental skills such as mindful engagement, helping organizations excel in a dynamic, 21st-century world.
