Celebrate Oxymorons

July 13 is Oxymoron Day when we celebrate and use contradictory terms in which the words used together don’t make sense. The word oxymoron is autological, in that it is  an example of what it describes: two contradictory words (sharp and foolish) used together.

Queers for Palestine have raised oxymorons to a whole new level–

heretofore only bested by Chickens for KFC.

Oxymorons are Diverse, Equitable, and Inclusive, in that they include an equitable proportion of diverse words.

So why only celebrate oxymorons on one day?

To really create a community of belonging, we should make every day Oxymoron Day.
