Dear BB,

I would have never expected Prof. Russell Rickford to denounce BLM, but it did happen! It was NOT exhilarating or energizing to see him “‘unequivocally oppose and denounce racism, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, militarism, fundamentalism and all systems that dehumanize, divide and oppress people.” I hope he wasn’t serious. We, the oppressed and underrepresented people, ought to stick together every time our white* allies point out our inadequacies, and then follow their masterful minds. Intersectionality is the key to our survival.

*PS. Why can’t we use very tiny font for the “w” in “white,” as in “white people?”  I feel very oppressed that I am not able to do it.
