During a press conference last June, President Trump interrupted a stumbling Energy Secretary Chris Wright with, “Nobody cares,” a quip intended to push Secretary Wright to make his point and not waste anyone’s time. As hilarious as it was to listen to on the radio, it was even funnier on video replay. I must have watched it ten times. Even Secretary Wright was laughing. Funny, pointed, and, more importantly, indicative of Trump’s Presidency: There is an enormous amount of work to be done for our nation and its citizens, and there is zero time to waste.
As midterms approach, Trump remains the focus of both parties. He is effectively on the ballot. Republicans, Independents, and Democrats – yes, Democrats – should embrace that focus wholeheartedly. There has never been a president like Trump in my lifetime. Candidly, there has never been a president like him in any lifetime. Despite his faults, which he would argue are few (or non-existent), President Trump sees the bigger picture, and the majority of Americans know he is working to address all of our citizens’ needs. We understand, as he does, the time truly is now to tackle the most pressing issues of our nation. Given the headwinds facing us, now may very well be our country’s last, best chance to do so. Republicans, Independents, and moderate Democrats should vote accordingly.
Gas prices are high. As a result, the cost of living is high. Gas prices under the last administration were just as high. The only difference is they were high by design, and that design exacerbated inflation to over 9%. Climate change is problematic, but it is not an existential threat. Overregulation of American energy in the name of saving the planet was as illogical as it was deliberate – an affront on every American during a time the economy was already stressed by a pandemic and major conflict. The Iranian regime is an existential threat, responsible – directly or indirectly – for over 1,000 American deaths and decades of terrorism throughout the world. When the threat is removed, energy prices will return to pre-conflict levels and we can all breathe a sigh of relief on two fronts: threat removed; cost of living manageable. Neither of those outcomes will be realized under “Democratic Socialist” leadership. Every American must know this.
Every American must also know “Socialism” is the greatest existential threat facing our country, and a fractious minority of socialist politicians in government will sow seeds of chaos to tear our nation apart from within. Ayn Rand put it most succinctly: “There is no difference between communism and socialism, except in the means of achieving the same ultimate end: communism proposes to enslave men by force, socialism – by vote. It is merely the difference between murder and suicide.” Our media networks, the subversive social media infiltration from the China-Russia-North Korea-Iran alliance, Antifa, Anti-Israel organizations, Communists, Marxists, etc., sow chaos, pitting us against one another. Destruction from within. Pushed to the brink. Pushed beyond it. A desperate populace seeking answers and solutions. Easier to control. Willing to be controlled. All according to plan.
Some of the Socialist proposals sound great – like Medicaid for All. The harsh reality is such a program would lead to lower quality of care, months-long waits for simple procedures and late-stage illness treatment – a death sentence for many, and a system of facilitated suicide similar to Canada’s MAID for the elderly and terminally ill. Other proposals are pure insanity. Open borders? Defund the police? Abolish ICE? These mantras and others like them are just that – mindless repetitions we drone aloud rather than taking the bold step to wake up to, realize, and recover from the lies we’ve been fed by the aforementioned bad actors. In our hearts, many Americans know the truth – we’ve already gone too far. Now is the time to course correct. The only sensible course correction is to vote in a Republican-controlled Congress with a margin wide enough to combat the crazies on both the Far Left and the Far Right. If every moderate Democrat, Independent, and sensible Republican voted for the Republican candidates in this election, our country would have the resources to end the conflict in Iran as quickly as possible, bring down energy prices, lower inflation to 2%, lower interest rates, use the trillions of new investment in America to fuel productivity in an economy that will help us begin to pay down our enormous debt, enact Voter ID law, solve property tax increases plaguing American families, combat violent illegal immigrant behavior, rescue the remaining 200,000 lost immigrant children who were trafficked over our border for sexual slavery and slave labor, effectively prepare and protect our nation and its citizens against China’s hegemonic goals, influence, and aggression, and so on down the line of truly existential needs.
The alternative is voting for Democrats and the Socialists who will further bend those Democrats to their will. The result of that error is predictable. It’s played out time after time over the past hundred plus years. Muslims supported the Bolsheviks in the Bolshevik Revolution and helped them win. Leftists and Communists aided the Ayatollahs during the Iranian Revolution, helping them establish a reign of terror we continue fighting today. With victory achieved, both the Muslims in Russia and the Communists in Iran were cast aside. The very same fate awaits today’s sensible, moderate Democrats: You will be cast aside once their New World Order is established. The days of the Kennedy and Clinton Democrats are over. Much like we needed Reagan Democrats in the 1980s to combat the most existential threats facing our nation, we need Trump Democrats now to do the same. Without you, the fractious minority of “socialists” you elect to run our country will shed the niceties of current campaign pledges and return to the messaging and beliefs they have always held dear, revealing themselves as the communists they are. You will be pushed beyond the circle of influence. All of us will pay the price. Our country may never recover.
As extreme as that may sound to some, our success as a nation is the product of countless make-or-break moments over our 250-year history. We’ve been smart, strong, determined, and lucky in each of those moments. Let us not rely on luck this time.
